Yea the first link is one from 2 years ago. And I crafted all the rockets and maps and such, but not with names.
You can also increase/decrease the terraformation progress on it to see where water will be and such.
"Where do I find x?"
"Oh, easy, that's over in the Highlands."
"Cool. What's the Highlands?"
OP: To the best of my knowledge there's no map with region names on it (definitely not in-game or on the wiki or the interactive map[map.fistshake.net], at least). The wiki has a map page[planet-crafter.fandom.com] that lists all the different regions with basic descriptions and positions relative to their neighbors, but that's about it. You could try an image search on Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo, though.
This indeed, I saw on an other topic where you can find the 5 wild animals, but all where marked with those name locations (Highlands etc.), and I don't really know those xD
For the resorces I indeed also use the interactive map from fistshake (awesome one!) but with a lot of the wiki pages, they refer to locations with names. And I found a page where they had 1 or 2 photo's of that sertain place, but some where clear enough where that was..
I used this guide for orientation, what is very similar to the mentioned fandom page of your post: https://gamerant.com/the-planet-crafter-complete-map-biomes-guide/
Could also use a little common sense.
Highlands are usually high elevation areas that are relatively flat.
Not very many places in TPC would fit that bill, which is why people gave it that name.
Ouch, the Highlands was an example. But some place called "Cenote" isn't that much "common sence" thingy. Those are the ones I find troubles, the {Not so clear ones}. You can be a bit more kind here, I was genuially asking an question.
Thank u, that guide is very helpfull, expecially with the tiny map in the corner pointing the exact points! Thank you!
Least common commodity on the planet.
Pohtayta patata! Depends on where you are from. Here in the mountains we call them hills and uplands. Whatever. So long as people know what you are talking about.
Some names are quite commonly used in Planet Crafter. The black space with the starry sky and rare minerals, for example, is most often called the Asteroid Field (for obvious reasons, if you look around)
Some of us have our own names for our planets, or areas within the planet. The oldest and biggest of the warden's cities, for example, I call "Eldenheim". It means 'Old Home".
Ditto, I call the big lake that forms in the middle of the map "Zambezi", which means, "the Heart of Everything". In this map it is the heart of everything, therefore "Zambezi" is also my name for my planet.
When you see somebody refer to the lava area it's pretty easy to figure out where they mean - but if you ever see me refer to "Schwartzenveldt", that is the area I'm talking about - it means "Black Fields".
The Rainbow Caves are pretty obvious once you find them, but be careful where you mean when you refer to 'sand falls' - there's two of them, one is much heavier than the other, so most will call the area where the smaller/thinner sand fall is "The Iridium Cave" instead.
You will know the big sand fall when you find it, it's hard to miss - but you have to go into that little pocket in the hills to see it.
When you upgrade your satellite and get mapping, those names should appear on the map as one of the upgrades. That's how maps actually work.
I guess I must have learned wrong, as well as my training NCOs.
