Larva no longer appearing, restart fix not working

No more larva are appearing, was trying to make bee larva when I realized I ran out of uncommon larva and looking around could not find any at all. Online there is mentioned a fix to restart to menu and reload game, but it doesn't seem to be working on the DLC. Any help or even someone pointing out that I missed something obvious would be much appreciated.

same issue here. Before the last patch, i was able to get some to spawn around my base. I didnt have the inventory space at the time to pick many up. But now when i need them, they are no longer spawning in the world.

-spoiler- I do remember reading a log on a destroyed drone somewhere that stated that the larva could only spawn in caves due to the harsh conditions on the surface. So i thought they might have updated the spawns to only appear underground, however that does not appear to be the case.
I have gone all over the map now and waited to see if any would spawn, and none do (yes, i wait for at least 5 minutes before even moving). So i think something with the last patch bugged the larva out. Thankfully i found some frog eggs so i can start getting the animals up to be able to craft the uncommon larva.

UPDATE:
I want to warn people about any spoilers, as there is some tie into the lore of Humble regarding larvae. If you dont want anything spoiled, what i will say is: Keep searching. Eventually you will find the larvae. They are not as easy to farm as before.

The larva do in fact spawn underground now. That message was correct. If you go into the caves around location -152:-35:-297 they actually spawn there. I think they only spawn around this area underground (or they were impossible to see in the zeolite caves).

I noticed yesterday, during multi sessions of playing for a while then exiting & reloading later, that in three early sessions the larvae were spawning all over. However last evening I noticed that they'd stopped spawning around my base as they usually did.
I see what @OneMadGamer added in the posts & was wondering if their disappearance on the surface is related to the increase in the Terraforming Index

Edit: I did find 1 rare larvae outside my base on todays early playthrough....no more

You need to reach T2 bee hive to spawn your own as far as I can tell.

My game seems to have lost larva entirely. Searched the island south of the landing site, searched every single cave for like two straight hours and nothing. Huge bummer. I don't think I can reach much further without getting more bee hives.

I kept creating rockets, as there seems to be very little to do now. Found a couple on my travels, but now after launching a few rockets and building a few heaters, they are dotted all around my base, including the occasional rare one. Had to travel for the higher tier, but, I don't want to leave any spoilers. Game could certainly do with an injection of a story line though.

Yeah, so it looks like at a certain Ti you will see more larva.

The patch today didn't help. I'm not getting larva and I have never found any frog eggs, and I am fairly late stage.

really? im sorry to hear it didnt fix anything. What stage are you currently in? what is your Ti level?

This is where i found them at too. I built a platform above the ground to make collecting larvae easier.

Mine have all dissappeared as well. been looking for over an hour. Trying to get more silk machines up and running , but cant find any uncommon (or any for that matter) anywhere. Restarted game, looked in all caves, etc. I am between fish and frog stages... but no more larva anywhere, really hope they fix this soon... hard to progress without them....

The only way I can get larvae now is the build Ecosystems. They produce them at a crazy rate, so I am thinking this might be a, once you get so far into the game you have to automate it sort of thing to maybe balance the game somehow... Not sure

What do you mean by make "ecosystems" not familiar with that... or is it something i have not gotten too yet... not really familiar with all the end game stuff from the first one..... can you explain?
