Larva disappearance *bug*

I had larva all over the place and when i couldn't find any where i first found them, i tried to google it. Seems many people are having this problem and from what i've gathered after you leave the insect stage(anything breathable atmosphere and up) larva no longer spawn. This is taking place on the new Humble map.

when you reach breathable atmo , dow to the beach , there are tons of high quality grubs
and they are also a good source of mats like mutagens too

Sometimes you need to save, exit to menu, and reload, it usually gets them spawning again, it does that on the main map sometimes as well.

I had the same problem. I read that at the Beach in the very south you can find Butterfly Larves. Thats the ONLY space were i can find larves now.

inzwischen habe ich das fischstadium erreicht und es gibt nirgends auf der karte mehr larven, auch nicht am strand. ich habe die hochwertigen alle eingesammelt, brauche jetzt aber die normalen und es gibt auf der ganzen karte keine mehr.

I've now reached the fish stage and there are no more larvae anywhere on the map, not even on the beach. I've collected all the high-quality ones, but now I need the normal ones and there aren't any left on the entire map.

Die Larven kann man irgendwann selbst herstellen.

addition : i found out that when you have the right materials , auto-crafter can produce grubs

Larvae seem limited to zones. Someone else said that they can be found underground, but not in my experience. I found a larvae spawning zone near my base at the edge of the cliff not far from the starting pod.

yea thats what i had do but took few reloads was weird but they started spawning again ( fingers crossed )

I can confirm disappearance of grubs. Am in insect stage, initially found them near my base, then had to go underground to find them, now can't find them at all. Even in places where I previously found them.

I'd found a few there, reached breathable stage shortly before, then the updates started, and finding larvae just plain stopped. It doesn't seem to matter where I go, there's nothing even on the beaches, and saving, exiting, and reloading doesn't help either. This is definitely a new 'missing bugs' bug, in my opinion; I'm now almost to frogs stage, at the end of the fish stage, and. nothing. no bugs anywhere on the map on Humble....

This has worked for me before, but it isn't working anymore, not for me at least (and from the sounds of it, others too?) - on HUmble, anyhow.

I haven't tried playing my Zambezi save yet, so not sure if this bug affects Prime too, but hopefully not... one out of the two planets needing um, 'rebugging'. is bad enough, lol! =8-P

To follow up on my previous post. I tried the save/exit/reload. It worked, I guess. I'm not sure if it was what was wrong, or if what I noticed later, is the case. What I've noticed now, is that they only spawn in certain areas. And in others, that seem to be perfectly suited, they do not. So, I'll be in the underground walking around, looking for larvae, and nothing, nothing, nothing, then I suddenly start finding them in a sort of transition area, I keep moving, and they stop appearing. I go back to where I found them previously, and they start appearing again.

So the trick seems to be, wander around in the underground area, until they appear, then sort of map where they show up. It doesn't help to find enough rare larvae though. I spent way too long looking for those.
