Humble Planet Fog GPU issue
Good day.
Trying to play Humble DLC, and noticed one critical issue for me. When i reach one area, where there is a lot of some kind of yellow fog ( for example if i stand at coordinates - -317:152:177 ), my GPU ( AMD RX6650XT ) going crazy: From chilling at around 60 degrees and around 70-80W consumption, it's going to around 90 degrees, 150W ( max ) consumption and fps getting lower ( instead of stable 60 ), to around 40. Changing graphics from very high ( 3 ) to low ( 0 ) didn't got effect. Only playable combo is low settings and 30 fps lock, which is quite... not acceptable, if overall game runs stable 60 at very high in most zones, except foggy one.
My GPU driver is up to date ( 24.10.1 ), Windows 10 22H2 with all latest stable updates.
I also tried to launch game on Fedora Linux under Proton 9, same results with foggy zone.
I hope this issue can be fixed, cause i'm afraid in future i'll need to go to that zone, but it's impossible to do with current performance.
Thank you

If it is any comfort, if you're going into the yellow fog area, you are going into that area too early. The area will clear out later in your play-through (the yellow haze will disappear).

Turn back and go look at the other amazing places in Humble. :) Humble is absolutely worth the slow terraform setting.

Try changing some settings, when you first begin "Play" the next page has Options
Check your graphics>FOV is at 65 or 64. << this is the important one.
v-sync is oiff.
If the graohics is on ultra lower it a bit.
Fullscreen "windowed"
screenshake intensity I have set too 10

Oh, ok. But still weird that this fog taking a lot of resources. But thanks for hint, i'll stay away from that zone and will wait for it to disappear

The devs could add an option like particle count. So the game could be easier adjusted to older hardware without loosing other quality.

But even on a dated 4090 I get a few stutters here and there. :saiko:
