how do I obtain phyto plancton

mz game is currently starting the frog stage even tho my animal percentage is still zero and I have no fish yet. I saw thst I need phyto plancton to make fish eggs but I cant figure out where to find it. Its not in the lakes, what and where is this stuff?

You need to build Water Life Collectors on your lakes. They'll generate the three types of Phytoplankton and may occasionally also produce specific types of fish eggs (depending on where you place it).

ah, i havent unlocked this yet, that explains it. It does feel strange tho to complete the fish stage without having a single fish yet, ha ha.
