Honestly, I have beat this game several times now. I honestly don't know why you would want to actually cheat in the game. Using cheaty style mods sure, like a mod that allows you to have multiple of the same item in a stack or automating your incubators or something to that effect. They are nice for additional playthroughs but actual cheats to me would just ruin the fun of the game that being said. To each their own, if you want to use cheats by all means do so. After all it is a sandbox game, so adding mods or cheats or whatever to make it enjoyable for you is perfectly acceptable in my opinion. I actually use a few mods now though nothing to game breaking.
