- maybe have a maximum tree density since trees can't actually live that close to each other anyway?
The stuff like trees, climbing vines and zeolite that pop up mid game can be a pain for your base. I had to manually delete an ore extractor from the save file after a vine grew through it and I could no longer access the storage. That was a pain that a non-technical person would never have managed (and I only did because I found a guide to editing your save file for pretty much that reason).
Ouch, yeah, I was annoyed enough when it happened to my ore extractor. That is so much worse.
And I'm not talking about those that appear with tree spreaders (because we can pretty much control where they will appear), but those that appear randomly, it's really annoying.
I know it's not the ideal solution, but couldn't you just build a building to go over the trees with your jetpack and remove the tree spreaders that are in the way, and space them out more?
LOL, yeah this happened to me too; as was said elsewhere I put down 8 T3 Tree Spreaders with an optimizer in the middle.... right next to my base. It made my base really difficult to maneuver in, and the Tree optimizer itself was so surrounded by trees I couldnt even approach it.
Lesson learned; not doing THAT near my base again; had to move the whole thing farther away. By the way, to reach my optimizer (before I did the big move), all I had to do was go around to 2-3 Tree Spreaders and remove their Seed for about 15 secs and then put them back in... that will eliminate all the trees that seed made (for a while). I soon reached the one that made the trees that had been blocking my path. . . .they came back in a new pattern

I encountered this issue with a chest full of circuit boards, and when I got the autocrafter, I simply crafted some bombs!
I hope this helps others like me and my friends, who were really frustrated by it—but very happy when we discovered the autocrafter recipe!
