How to get more insects?

Anyone got any tips to ramp up insect production? I feel like it's really slow and has hardly any decent options compared to the others. Currently I have 300t of animals despite only having 4 frog farms and one fishfarm but only 100t of insects despite 6 farms, 5 butterfly pods, a bee pod, the butterfly dome and of course starting earlier than animals.

Of course I could build insect rockets, but the problem is that breeding the bee larvae for that takes bloody ages, if you even have enough of the uncommon larvae to begin with.

T2 bee farms produce bee larvae as well as honey, so they're great for making insect rockets and animal rockets (use the bee larvae in the DNA extractor to get DNA for the animal rocket).

The insect spreader rockets will really ramp it up. T2 Butterfly farms seem to help a lot.

I usually do at least 1 butterfly farm for each type of butterfly, and I do as many for golden butterflies as I can fill. In one play through I also did 1 butterfly dome for each as well (made a big tower of them lol). I usually do any where from 3 to 5 bee farms, and upgrade them to t2 as soon as I unlock it.

If you have the butterflies, replace your T1 Butterfly farms with T2 farms--it's more than three times the output, and all you need is two pieces of fabric to make the upgrade.

As was said by others, also, create T2 Bee Farms once they become available. They put out more insects and plants, and you can get free bees from them. Trust me, soon you'll have more bees than you know what to do with.

These answers are useless. I have a dozen+ butterfly farms with 800-1000% larvae multiplier and still only at 120ti insects. T2 butterfly farms are at 920ti. Guess I just need to focus on animals and plants to get enough biomass to get a few insect rockets up

Unfortunetly insects is a hard one to get up, most of the time I just on plants and and wait till I unlock fish, but it will go up, sometimes while waiting it's a good time to go explore areas you havent done yet, or reorganize buildings.

What is your overall Terraforming index? Because I have 1 butterfly dome, I think 2 T1 butterfly farms and 2 T2 farms and 4 beehives and..like, a couple other things and I got through the insect stage, unlocked all the insect related tech..I never really noticed it taking some big huge investment.

I have something like 50 T2 bee hives and 10 insect spreader rockets. Never noticed a problem with insects.

As soon as the butterfly dome unlocked I had the 2 golden butterfly larva from the quest. That happened about 1.0 to 1.5 GTI. I could not do anything else then, but at least I got insects started. Then at 5.0 GTI started incubating bee larva and placing T1 bee hive, converting to T2 as soon as it unlocked.

I also built a platform for farming butterfly larva in the paradise city area. 11x11 above the center spire makes the named butterfly larva easy to spot.

What quest is this? I managed to randomly get a golden butterfly larva from the incubator but don't remember any quest type events...

It's the Wardens quest line, you find 2 chests that have golden larva in it when you reach the Lost paradise, and enter the last building locked by keys.

Warden quest line is a notification from Riley with a location to check. I usually get the notification about 800 to 850 MTI. I will wait until I unlock the bee hive, then do the warden quest line all the way. That way I have the 2 golden butterfly larva when the dome unlocks.

I have not gotten any named larva in the paradise city area before the incubator unlocks, but after that I see lots of serena larva, some alben, some fierenta, and some lorpen. Every once in a while I see a golden as well.
