New save, I've explored like 20 level 5 wrecks, still no firepit blueprint. Bad luck? Do I need to search lower-rarity wrecks?

Nope. Portal Wrecks. And yeah, OP. I've not found one, either. It's the last BP I need, too.

Ah, ok. Then I found one somewhere becaue I have it. Just didn't remember finding it.

It can be found only on the far side of a portal. I found mine in a 4 4 portal, in a blue chest not even inside a wreck. It is very rare, but I think you've just been unlucky.
