Biodome placement bugged

We just unlocked the biodome. We didn't know it wouldn't connect to our house structure and when we went to place, was completely clipped into our house structure because it gave us the green. We now have trapped food pods, and can't deconstruct ANYTHING.

Our game is screwed.

Is there a way to fix? Or is new game the only way?

If new game is only way, ADMIN NEEDS TO FIX THIS. #GameBreakingBug

Edit: we aren't super technical so don't give super techie fixes. We just want to play, not program. That's why we pick games others make.

Find your save file here:

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\MijuGames\Planet Crafter

Open the file with Notepad and search for "Biodome". That line will look something like this:

{"id":202478275,"gId":"biodome","liId":0,"liGrps":"","pos":"571,4,687","rot":"0,0,0,1","wear":0,"pnls":"","color":"","text":"","grwth":0}

Delete that entire line.
Then reload the save.

I am pretty sure you have to be off line or the game will read the cloud save file instead on startup. If you are off line it reads the file in your save game folder.

Is there a non-techie friendly way of fixing it?

If you can't deconstruct that section, no. Maybe deconstruct the section it is attached to and see if it will deconstruct then. Other than that none that I know of.

Also if you are going to try and modify the save game file. Make a copy before you modify, so if you screw up, you have to original file to replace it. Better safe than sorry.

When you fix it up and try to place the biodome next time, I found placing a door, then 3 platforms running from the door, and finally placing the biodome worked for me. I'm new and tried this yesterday because it didn't snap properly.

I see you have it solved (Yay!), but just FYI: the biodome does connect to buildings, but only on the two bump-out sides, so you might have been able to put a door on one of the biodome entrances and get in to delete things that way. Or, if it was high enough to walk under, you could have tapped F4 a few times to lift you into the dome or base to do the same. Just in case anything else similar ever happens.
