Multiplayer doesn't work anymore

I played a lot of multiplayer during the last 7 days and it worked just fine but today I get a black screen for 1 second and then I'm back in the main menu after using the invite code.
Restarting the pc or the game or steam didn't work.

I can play the game in single player just fine and also uninstalled / reinstalled the game with the same outcome.

Log out of Steam, log back in, launch the game, join.

If doesn't work, have the host do the logout/login before reloading the game. Don't forget to save before quitting.

Just use the invite friends instead of a invite code. None of my friends I invite that way have any issues connecting.

the "join game" option askes for a server address, and wont accept the join code as it. so i cant join friends eather. cant host a game, because i am not seeing the invite code option

ugh so upset that its not working for us either.

Make sure you are both playing the same version. My friend just got his and I've playing on the Development version and that was our issue. He updated to the Development version and we joined no issue.

omg you're a life saver! wouldn't have even though of doing this only because my sister and i played last weekend and didn't change anything. but i switched her over to the development version and it worked. thanks again!!!!!

for us it works like that:
1. me launch game and share code (send invite via menu or try to join via steam directly)
2. client trying to connect. he dropped to main menu. my client freezes and i'm closing with alt+f4
3. I launch game again. Share code to client.
4. client connected. all works

I dont know why, but MP works from second attempt always.

I just finished playing for about 4 hours with a friend. It works just fine.

nope - didn't work.
And I'm also not using any beta version atm. I'll check again, if my friends do.
