I cannot seem to find any species dna. I have checked chest got other dna but no species. I also have not seen any animals on the planet yet. I have finished the animals terraforming stage.

You need to extract Species DNA using a certain device:
Bee Larva - Species (1)
Silkworm - Species (2)
Rare Larva - Species (3)

Or you can pet your animals and they drop random traits, usually the ones they have but sometimes new ones. But you need to have at least one animal for that.

Actually, I think Color A is the lower body color and color B is the upper body color or back of the mammal? Otherwise, very nice gathering of info, thanks.
