Died and stuck in a room without a door. Don't have the resources

I found out that the original spawn point will turn into a lake and while moving my "house" to higher grounds, I didn't pay attention to food. Then the last room I had been in I had taken out the door already, but the cabin itself wouldn't fit in my backpack, so I left it.
Unfortunately then I died and spawned back into this last doorless room, naturally without the resources to build a door. Hitting F4 just respawns me back in that same room.
How can I get out. Why can't you spawn back in the pod or if that does get flooded, outside of the room you last were in.

If deconstruct is not possible you could try to get yourself unstuck with F4.

I know you said you tried F4, but did you spam the heck out of it. It will keep raising you as long as you spam it.

I know you said you tried F4, but did you spam the heck out of it. It will keep raising you as long as you spam it.

Not sure that would solve anything for him. Even if he could get iron out of the death crates, you need titanium and silicon to create a door. If you can't deconstruct it because you're inside it, I'm not sure there is any other solution. At least you should be early enough in the game that starting over shouldn't be too painful. Take this as a lesson, deconstruct doorless rooms, even if you can't stock the items. They will be left on the ground for you to pick up later.

Actually, spamming F4 will work. Just tested it. Pressing F4 teleports you directly up about 2 foot. Hit it 3 or 4 times in quick succession and you'll clip right through the roof of the building and be stood on top of it. Tested it a few times and it worked perfectly every time.
