I can't figure this out
I'm kinda new to this kind of game where you need to automate things. I'm not really bright either tbh :P
I don't know how to solve this.
I have an auto crafter making Fusion Energy Cells with every item needed around it that gets fed in to lockers.
When it's done making an energy cell I'm having the cell transported to a trade rocket. When the trade rocket is away I'm having the cells transported from the auto crafter to a locker with the help of drones, so that the crafter can keep making them and not fill up.
So far so good.
The problem is that I don't know how to make the drones take the cells from the locker to the rocket, since that locker already has a demand set on the cells.
Is there anyway I can make this work?
I hope I made myself clear. Thanks.

A locker cannot be both supply and demand so you will have to take the fusion cells out of the locker and put them into the rocket yourself. In any case, that's how I do it if I want to send off rockets faster. Would love to know if anyone has a better method.

If that's "Not really bright" then color me stupid.

Yeah, I actually ran into the same problem. I ended up building another trade rocket, so that the 2nd one is stocked while the 1st one is away.

We have a good answer. Ding ding ding ding ding !

Now, I return to the original question. Look at the value of a fusion cell. Now look at the value of a quartz crystal. You need three of those plus other good things to make a fusion cell. It's more efficient just to sell the crystals.

You need to have the rockets set to Demand for the cells. No way to get past that if you want to automate.

I am at about 1.2M tokens, 4 rockets, 4 auto-crafters making cells, 5 auto-crafters making Crystals and a whole mess of storage set to Demand, getting fed from all the mining sources.

I have about 360 drones atm, but got to the point where I just set a auto-crafter to make drones so I would not run out at any stage. The Drone station will only take what it needs.

My rockets are prioritized 1-4, although it would prob still work fine if they were all 1's.

When they arrive, they fill in maybe 5-10 seconds and blast off.

The big trick is getting all the supply lines working perfectly. And not having enough drones was the first problem to solve.

So it's quite an balancing act, but that's the fun part.

When you make a lot of changes to settings, always a good idea to save and go back to the main menu, then return. I think it helps the processes all start up in the new sequence smoothly.

depends. how fast can you craft energy cells and how much trade rockets do you have.
because the rocket needs time to fly. so selling each 4min for 100 is better than selling each 4min for 65 (just example numbers).

I don't believe it is more efficient. Number breakdown:

PQ's for 25 tt.
Nuke for 80 tt.

Nuke takes 3 PQ to build. Therefore it's a net gain of 5 tt selling one nuke instead of the 3 PQ's it took to build it. Now it only takes 2x Osmium and 1x Obsidian to get that extra 5 tt (which at this stage of game should be easy enough. you'd already have tons of osmium rolling in for the PQ factory anyway).

And you're now netting just over 3x the income per shuttle trip. Shuttles that would take up space and use energy. Sure there's tons of room to build, and once can make PQ it's easy enough to make more fusion generators, but they take up space too.

tl;dr version: on a purely efficiency and net profit/work, you're better off making and selling the fusion cells.

I build two lockers each so i could alternate them for demand and supplier. I know it is not fully automated., but easy to switch when full or empty.

Thank you everyone for your help. See, there was a simple answer that I didn't think of. Just more rockets!

I have 3 trade rockets enhanced with 3 trade rocket fuses all being fed by a massive pulsar quartz factory.

The only annoying thing is the "XXX" trade tokens message coming up all the time. When something glitches and I don't get these messages very frequently, it tells me I need to go look at what broke in my production. It turned out it was I filled up that most advanced locker with super alloy rods. Then I swapped out all my T2 mining rigs with T3 and no problem since because I don't have auto crafters crafting super alloy and then super alloy rods.

never made it to trade section but here is what i think.
Autocrafter to chest next to it
From Chest to Rocket

Then the chest act as a buffer while rocket is away.

or 2 chest same idea?
Is that possible?
