i assume single/multiplayer makes no difference.
I wonder why no one thinks about leaving after Wardens as a happy endings. You follow them, based on the message they are dead so won't be an issue to you, sentinel corps can't follow you because they don't have enough warden keys remaining on that side, you keep all unlocked blueprints in your multitool so can easily terraform the new planet if it is as dangerous as this one was. That will be your own planet away from Sentinel Corps and Wardens. But yeah, you will have to be alone on it.
The endings actually remind me a lot of The Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
1. Captured by Nova Corps.
2. Captured by Ravagers.
3. Following some unknown celestial being to their planet hoping they are good.
The movie ended up as a win for them.
Sentinel could drop several people in individual pods, though they might not have much control where they land or whether they find one another before they find you. And there's no guarantee they'll be able to get off the planet, even if one or more finds and subdues you. The question is whether or not it's worth it to them to possibly lose more people to track down one fugitive. Might be, since they now have evidence the planet is usable.
Still, I think the endings are a disappointment in an otherwise great game. Especially the warden ending, which was set up to be much more interesting and hopeful., with the idea that some of the Wardens turned out to be survivors a false lead. Maybe the game creators are grimdark fans?
The main goal wouldn't be to track you down I guess, the main goal will be to take the planet as it costs a lot (although I guess the multitool which can construct such things from raw materials must also cost a lot). So they drop military pods, destroy anomaly, land with ships and start to colonize. As an extra they may try to find you, but I don't think it will be a priority
Yes, they switched from automatic messages which were sent in the beginning to manual messages at the end so they already know the planet is ready and just need few final steps. Easy way for them if you destroy the anomaly because you are already there and then they can send the ships, if you decline they can send other people without any problems and destroy it themselves.
