Access Cards?

So I'm almost at the end of the game as far as all the machines etc, I've cleared out all the wrecks and I'm now working through the wrecks that need the nuclear thing (can't remember what it's called) that you place inside the wreck that opens more doors. I've just now read about Access cards and I've yet to come across one. The wiki says they're found inside wrecks.

Those are for procedural wrecks thru the portal. They are only for them to access the vault rooms. You will find them in crates in the procedural wrecks.

Well, I still don't have the Portal build option. I had no idea there was such a thing. I do have about 6 or 7 more machines to become available. I never bothered to check which ones they were. Thanks very much
