Best time to Loot the spacecrafts & collect the Warden keys?

When is the best time to loot the spacecrafts, the longer you leave it, do you get better loot?
or is it best to dive in straight away? I have tested this a few times and it seems to vary, with some storage cases only having 1 to 3 items in the longer I leave it ????
Has anyone come across an ideal time in progression to loot the craft?
The same applies with the Warden keys, should you start as soon as you receive the message from Riley or wait until for example you no longer require oxygen?

Whenever you want. Do you want loot that you can use now or better loot but later when you may not even need it anymore? I explored wrecks as soon as I found them and I didn't have any issues. In the end game you get access to cells which unlock new wreck sections and portal which unlocks randomized wreck, so there is no deficit of chests later. I see no reason not to open them as soon as you find them.

Warden keys: I progressed the chain as soon as I was able to. Not strickly focusing on it but switching between base development, random exploration and progressing it. While I needed some extra oxygen for exploration it wasn't that difficult. And the reward at the end helped at certain point of terraforming so it was nice to already have it. Again, do whatever you like, there is no way someone can actually tell you how to do it correctly because there are multiple ways to do it and all are not wrong.

I do 1 ship early game for fabric for the boots and some blueprints, then more at lakes stage because mushroom seeds drops from ultra rare chance to very rare and heat and pressure fuses start dropping

Thanks,I will just carry on with what I am doing, I just thought there maybe some loot stage progression, I do find waiting slows down the terraforming & the unlocking items via the microchips as I have had very few but its more relaxing
