Shredder Machine, last item bug

I have two shredders set up, the drones will not place the 30th item in them. I have to go around and push the button, then 29 more drones fly in right away. None are putting the last item in.

I see this a little on the trading rockets also. But I don't check them often, so may be happening a lot.

My impression is that it happens mostly when you're around in that area.
Moving away seems to un-glitch the problem, but yeah of course that's not a proper fix.

Ya it has been a bug for awhile and no one seems to know why it does that. Sometimes disassembling it and putting it back up will help for a bit.

It happens with the space trader rockets as well.
The 2 inventory issues are most likely related.

Experiencing this bug as well, I was wondering why my surplus/"dump" containers weren't getting emptied. Came to find the shredder I had by my T2 ore extractors was sitting with 1 empty slot. I built a second shredder next to it with the same settings, and it's working properly. The bug persists whether I'm present or not.

We found the cause of this bug and the devs have been notified about how to fix it. Unfortunately, no ETA when this will happen.

Until then, if you are willing to mod, install the Unofficial Patches[www.nexusmods.com] that contains the fix.

Well, glad to hear it's on their radar at least. I'm no stranger to modding, but Nexus is too toxic a platform for my tastes. Any chances of Steamworks being integrated at some point?

It's called "job security". Can't let the drones take all the work, or why would Sentinel Corp bother to keep you around?
