[Bug] Multiplayer characters keep going invisible

My boyfriend and I play together. Since the update he will randomly vanish while we are playing. He is the host and even if I leave/rejoin he will never reappear. We both need to stop playing and restart to get him to reappear. I am still visible on his screen.

Prior to the update this never happened and only happened with the trade rocket. That was annoying but the other player just vanishing is even more annoying.

Anyone else seeing this? Everything he does still appears in the world but I have no idea where he is half the time!

I would also like to add the animals I have crafted are also invisible. I can no longer pet them :(

Keep in mind you have to be with in a certain range for him to appear. When my husband and I were doing the beta test for the multiplayer, we could only see each other if we were with in a certain distance, and then for a bit more we could see the name, after that you dont see them. We never measured the distance off hand though.

I can confirm the bug ... all 4 players standing next to each other. Only the Host can see the other players. The other players can't see anyone.
Restarting the game does not fix the issue.

I will be standing on top of him. Our PCs are very close and if I look over I can see my character standing near him but on my PC nothing.

Thats what I was seeing as well. If the host restarts it fixes the issue but any of the connection players, the behavior will not change. Sucks though, it only started happening with this last update...at least from what we can tell.

That is weird. We never encountered it when we did the beta. Hope they get it resolved for you quickly. You may want to go to the discord, while I know the devs and moderators do watch the forums, you usually get a quicker response on discord.

Did the host restart the game too?

We just had the same issue in our party. For us the issue was resolved with the host restarting the game.

Correct, the host needs to restart to fix the issue. However I found that it just happens again like 15-20 minutes later. Not fun to keep needing to restart :(

Bumping old thread as me and a friend have been having this on the new dlc planet. it only started happening very late game around 250GTi
