Super Alloy Cave - NO Pedestal

I'm at 5+ TTi and plan the endgame. When I enter the super alloy cave there is the 'weird door' and according to some videos there should be a pedestal which opens that door, after one puts a wardens key in there. Well there is no pedestal. There is some shimmering but no pedestal appears.
Any suggestions?

You skipped a step. The story quest starts somewhere else.

Look for the Mushroom Cave north the Waterfall.

And I think you need to get an email before that pedestal appears. In the mail Riley says they "made a deep analysis of the planet and something isn't right" and they supply coordinates for you to check out. That starts the quest line. You'll find pedestals with keys and new coordinates. This quest unlocks a couple new areas and provides a lot of lore.
