Did this help? Game keeps crashing after first time opening it too
Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of windows?
This will make a big difference to which version of the drivers for your nvidia graphics card you need:
32-bit: current nvidia driver for GTX1050 - v391.35 (27/03/2018)
64-bit: current nvidia driver for GTX1050 - v566.36 (05/12/2024)
This might also explain why, when you previously tried to download/install new drivers as suggested by akarnokd, it apparently told you your drivers were already up-to-date.
N.B. the dates and version numbers listed above are for the English language version of the drivers, other language versions of the same driver may have a slightly different version number and/or release date.
The advice given by akarnokd above is definitely worth trying. In a lot of cases, game loading problems can by resolved by checking/updating your graphics card drivers wherever possible.
The game requires a 64 bit Windows 10 21H2 or later.
Edit:
This is the latest driver as of now: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/237719/
If you go to nvidia.com, look at the top menu banner, on the right side of which one of the options is 'Drivers', click on this to open the Driver search page.
Then, in the Manual Driver Search box select the following options:
Product Category: GeForce
Product Series: GTX 10 Series (or GTX 10 Series for Notebooks if you use a laptop)
Product: GTX 1050
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
Language: whatever language version you require
Now click the green Find button. The page will eventually change and you should be presented with a list of drivers matching the options you chose. The current version of the GeForce Game Ready driver will probably be the second item on the list, click the View button next to it. On the next page will be a green Download button.
1) As akarnokd stated earlier, the minimum requirements were changed with the latest release to Windows 10 21H2. OP's version of Windows is too old.
21H2 = Second major release, 2021
1607 = Major release, July 2016
2) If the Dell site is only offering 32-bit drivers and apps for OP's model of computer, then it's very likely to be a 32-bit system with a 32-bit OS (or at the very least configured in such a way out of the factory that it's meant to use a 32-bit OS). Don't bother looking for 64-bit drivers as they won't work on a 32-bit operating system.
If it is stating 1607 then yes, that version of Windows is massively out of date. As a hint, those versions are a combination of the year and the month that they were first released to preview. So that versions of Windows is from 2016.
The version this game needs is 21H2, or the 2021 2nd half version.
