Change game save file name?
Hello, is there any way to change the name of a save file after you've started playing it?

Yes, you can do that.

In the game, bring up the list of saved games you can load, and press F1.

This makes Windows show the folder the save files are in.

Each save file is called 'something.json'. You can change the 'something'. Do not use the name 'backup.json' because the game uses this file for its own purposes.

having made your changes, bring the game back to the foreground and quit it. Let Steam synchronise the savefiles. Then you can start the game again.

My saved files are not named in the folder. They are Standard-1.json and Custom-2.jason. I did follow your instructions anyway, and tried it a few times, but it didn't change the name.

That didn't work for me either. The name stays changed in the folder, but the game still lists it as the original save (Standard-1).

Open the save file and search for saveDisplayName, it will be near the bottom

"saveDisplayName":"Standard-1"

That worked, thanks. I started that game in the Demo and when I got the game it let me pick up where I left off.
