Mark own position on map

Is there a tech, a rocket, a chip or something I can build that will mark my own position on the map (I mean the mobile map, you can open once you install the map chip). The only other ways I figured would be to carry the stuff for a beacon in my pocket and plot one down whenever I check the map or to try to work with landmarks.
This seams like a quality of life feature that should be tied to the map details rocket.

You are always in the middle. I think there should be a marker in the center also, but that is always where you are.

yes, but where exactly is the middle? its hard to spot for me. And no, there is not even the slightest hint of a plxel of a marker.

If you have your flashlight on when you pop the map open, there'll be a little spot of light on the map where you are.
