How many rockets?
I'm curious about how many rockets people aim for to get to the end game. If you know what you aim for, or what you have used by the end game, I would love to hear from you. I think in my multiplayer game my buddy has launched about 20 of each we have available and everything is still crawling.

So what is everybodies opinions on rockets? and amount of rockets. I know everyone probably has differing opinions, but I am interested to hear them.

I have 4 of each, and almost have everything unlocked.

In my finished game I have 8 of each (except for GPS and drone rockets)
Currently at ~9 TTi

I had more like fifteen or twenty in my third game but I'd set the terraforming speed much lower than the default. It depends if your goal is to ramp up to complete the game as quickly as possible, or explore all areas, or build a big base.

You can keep playing as long as you want so you can race to finish terraforming. I'd suggest it's more fun to explore the map before you finish if you can because as you explore, you find blueprints and special resources. Once you've reached the point where you have abundant resources those discoveries are far less exciting.

But hey, I've played the whole thing through three times now. so for me at least it's got replay value.

At least 10 of each, but I've been know to launch 15 of each. Some rockets will produce meteors of for instance uranium, so when you need a resource like that, you can launch a rocket. You can't really have too many rockets launched.

8-10 maybe. Late game, more rockets for animals, since they can't be multiplied with the fuses.

I find around 5 to be enough to progress fast enough. I have 5-10 though, depending on how many resources I had free to spend on them.

I find I generally need 7 or so sets of rockets in order to avoid most of the 'hang time' that so many complain about, a little later in the game. But then, I'm usually playing on 'intense', so I guess that might make a difference, too.

On my most recent playthrough I think I have launched like 7-8 of each minus the mapping ones.

I sent like 25 of each but i think i made the sky angry, lasted a while.

On my first run, I held back a little on how many rockets I sent up, as I had no idea if I would unlock something that needed lots of those rocket engines I kept finding. It got to the point where I almost needed a storage locker just for the engines. Now that I know I don't have to hoard them, on my second run I've been sending them up as I find new rocket engines.

I only hoard engines at the start so I can build the jetpack, because nothing beats getting around faster.

Once I had about 200 of each. But it was an extreme to get to some PTi's.
