I've noticed that sometimes my autocrafter will pause for a long time
Make sure you have all the materials needed to craft the objects.
I disagree. On my 1440p monitor it's on the right, but when you mouseover, the list overlays stuff below and is basically unreadable.
Also, it does not display contents, but Tier 2 Storage etc so there's no way to know what's in it.
I do not consider it neat or easy to track down.
It'd be great to have a Tier 2 Auto Crafter that a) had it's own input/output storage and b) put a number on the items it needs.
When you select a thing for it to make, such as quartz, there should be space below the selection to list the actual ingredients. Each of those should have a number on it, so you see '20 iron'.
Or some variant of that sort of stuff, but only as a Tier upgrade.
They could fix the overlay thing though and also it could read the name I've set for that storage instead of Tier 2 Storage. Then I could at least see the boxes its' using and work out which is which. And obviously it shouldn't be mouseover, it should at most be fold out so you can properly inspect it.
All relatively low priority stuff though in terms of QOL improvement or updates.
