Demo (does it have multiplayer or is that only in full game?)

So I (like many others) played the demo and was hooked so bought the full game. This was like nearly 2 years ago.
I am thinking of booting it back up for some more hoarding.

My question is, does anyone know if you can play multiplayer in the demo?
I am literally asking for a friend :)

No I don't believe so. Multiplayer didn't come out until the 1.0 release.

there are two demos.

-planet crafter prologue (separate steam listing) is an old version.

-planet crafter demo (found on the main game store page) seems to be exactly the same thing as the actual game, just with a progress limit.

There is no multiplayer in Demo. There is no multiplayer in Prologue.
