Same for me as well. I usually have more than enough of these cards.
I wouldn't until I had a whole heap of 'em, since you can't construct them, and you will need at least 5 of them to get through Ikhlas' final door (when you find it), and possibly more for wrecks where you don't find enough. So, I'd recommend you keep some aside before you start deconstructing everything...
Have you tried finding some in the procedural wrecks? (these are accessed through the portal, levels 3-5 have access cards in my experience)
I usually end up with some excess from those (=finding more than I have to use up), and at least one of these cards are before the vault section (where you have to use these cards), so you can just hop in for some access cards, even if you do not want to explore the whole thing.
Level 4 and 5 can be pretty complex mazes though (I need dozens of flares and a color system to mark my way in them), so if only going for the cards, level 3 might be best.
