I tried that already, no luck.
Oh, also, try saving and shutting down and restarting. There is a bug with the bees that when you put them in the hives they are frozen in space until you relog. perhaps the agae does not grow until a relog?
When I went to check on it I thought at first that there wasn't any algae there, but when I looked down I saw them - hovering at about the level I had first put the generator in at. Saving and quitting and reloading seems to fix it, but it kept happening until the water level stabilised ...so maybe try looking down? They just might be there after all...
That maybe what I was seeing too. I did not look down, but after the restart it was fine.
Really stops you in your tracks when you can't get fertilizer.
Too right! And to me, every time I run into a pile-up like that, it's also an indicator that I've gotten my numbers out of balance again - so I run around like a mad thing for awhile working on stuff that will get the other numbers up, working towards a better balance.
And THAT, in a nutshell, is why I am so persistent in playing this game, I think - it's all about discovering the best balance, and that can change SO much, in game, but also from game to game... try _this_ instead of _that_, or, see what happens if you do _this_... or, oops, let's not do _that_ again... and etc! .... :-D
