Test branch Portal Generator?

am i the only one that doesnt understand how to use this? spent the last hour or so on the test branch trying to get it to work anyone else tried using it or know how to use it ?

First grab a few pulsar quartz from your stash then use the console in the corner of the generator to scan for wrecks, when one can be opened with the quartz in your inventory an open portal button will appear. If they all need new quartz types then keep scanning until one that just uses pulsar quartz appears.

The only one I have done was huge so take some food and drink and try not to get lost.

Beware. If you get to the second tier wreck in the lava map, when I entered the wreck it just dumped me into a pool of lava. Short trip.

For your first runs when you find a wreck, skip the ladders. It's way too easy to get lost in them :D

lucky for you, i cant even get it to appear ingame at all. i've switched to dev branch, there's nothing there.

Has anyone else tried to deconstruct the portal generator?
I was just trying to rotate it but didn't get anything back in my inventory when I deconstructed it, so have to make the stuff to build a new one.

disappointed that the word 'mammals' does not show up any of the notes.
sorry I am a bit niche but mammals is really the only mechanic I am looking for and it appears that will not be included in the full release

I have had this happen to me twice now! Different locations, but always the ship in a cave over the top of lava.
