But look good, can be underneath bushes and such
I have found them on the Balcony and in the Iridium Cave below the balcony. The one I found in the Iridium cave was quite a while ago so they might no longer spawn there.
The best way to find larva is to build teleporters on the Balcony and in Lost Paradise. Also build shredders both places. And you may want to build platforms to make them easier to find.
Go to Lost Paradise first. Pick up every larva you see (only so many will spawn in an area). Do this until they seem to not be spawning as fast as they were to start with. (Sometimes when you pick one up, it still counts as being on the ground. This is a bug, and it slowly reduces the spawn rate.) When you are done at Lost Paradise, telport to the Balcony and repeat.
When on the balcony, you should turn on your light to help find the very dark Lorpen larva on the dark ground.
The Lorpen is quite rare, so it will still take a while.
The last time I did this, I set up a living compartment in the Zeolite cave. I stood inside and saved. I then exited to the title and loaded the game to reset everything. I then stood out in the gave and hung around for a minute or two, letting larva spawn. If no Lorpen appeared, I would just exit to the title and reload. If one did appear then I would go back into the living compartment and save. After that I would then exit to the title and reload.
I managed to get two in around an hour.
Walk the courtyard up and down, especially in the grassy areas. Pickup only what you want to keep, then save, exit, reload, and start walking again. It really won't take very long...
Edit: So, I had to test my memory. After running this procedure for about a half hour, I had:
Serena: 33
Fiorente: 5
Golden: 5
Alben: 4
Lorpen: 2
Your mileage may vary, it's all up to the Random Number Gods. Serena larva appear as often as Uncommon larva and become a glut on the market. Fortunately, they are my favorite... :-)
All that is left are named larva, rare larva, and uncommon larva.
