Override build locking??

Is there a command or something to override the INFURIATING building lock? It's glitched beyond reason, and all my builds look like crap because I can't place something directly on top of anything else. I know, OCD... but it's driving me insane.

Not in game, but there is a mod that removes build constrictions:

It's from akarnokd, who is also moderator in this forum. I don't use this mod myself, but I know of people who do and it works well.

If you are having issues with the 2x2 and 3x3 rooms, the work around is to put a 1x1 next to the bottom 2x2 and then another one on top of that, then connect the 2x2 to the top 1x1. for some reason they just dont work other wise. You can then either leave the 1x1 (alot of us use them as our ladder area) or you can delete them.

Starlight: The 1x1/2x2 thing makes sense. It's near impossible to connect things vertically, but side to side tends to be fairly easy. Good tip. I wish I'd thought of it. Thank you!

It's been a known issue for quite some time now, and there are probably over 100 posts about that exact issue, so far the 1x1 is the only way any of us have found to work around the issue.

When using mods an other wery saving mod when building is the Prevent Accidental Deconstruct where you have to press Lctrl to use the deconstruct tool. You can find it at Nexus, I cant make the links to work.
