Bug: Incubator does not properly update tank when emptied by drone
Pun intended. I went overboard on drones and saved myself the arduous task of having to turn 90 degrees to get rid of unwanted butterfly larvae with drones and I wondered why it was taking so long. Turns out the tanks were already emptied but it looked like there were still butterflies in them. When a drone grabs what's inside the incubator doesn't realise it's been interacted with.

I tested adding a recipe for fish to an incubator with ghost butterflies and fish appeared without removing the butterflies (even made the branch disappear) and then the fish vanished when a drone picked them up, so it seems limited to bugs. Because of the blue tint of the tank I can't tell if multiple butterfly types can coexist though. I just now removed golden butterflies from one tank and the previous "ghost" butterflies still remain; adding the gold ones back into the tank it seems both variants appear at the same time, gold one can be removed normally and disappears as intended.

For reference this happens for both the Serena and Imeo variants for sure, testing all the others would be a lot of RNG that I'm not super excited to try personally. Since it doesn't happen with fish I assume it's all butterflies and checking the code itself would probably be quicker anyway.

Posting this here so that it's either found or reposted in the correct place by someone who already has access there. I'd appreciate it.

It isnt just from the drones collecting, I had this happen before the fish and drone update came out. I had golden butterflies and bees in one of mine at the same time.

Huh. Guess I never used them enough beforehand. I've been mass-producing out of a pair of them recently though and I thought for sure the drones were doing it. Turns out before I closed the game down I had one tank with four different butterfly types AND fish swimming around.

Makes me wonder... were you using two incubators (or more) at the same time a lot?

Best of my knowledge, it's a bug with move all. The drones are also causing it because it behaves similarly. Happens with other things like aquariums, butterfly domes/farms, flower spreaders, etc.

At any rate, it's just a visual bug. I doubt it can be used to cheese like with the food grower/farm plot bug that happens for similar reasons.

When it happened I was using 2 different incubators located next to each other.

Strange. I never had a problem until I built a second one, and I didn't really use them enough to even build a second one until I figured out how to efficiently use drones. And now I've filled up as many machines as I wanted I'm down to using only one and it STILL glitches out. I wonder if somehow they're affecting each other by proximity. That'd be a very strange glitch though.

Well, in any case. Guess I'm late to this particular bug party and wrong on all counts anyways. Oh well

I just had this exact scenario play out in my game. I have these butterflies that were removed from the incubator by a drone and they still show up flying around and stuff. I don't know how to clear the incubator. I shut down so maybe when I log back in it will be fixed. This is a bug.

Usually logging out fixes it, but ya, it is a bug.

I guess I kind of stated the obvious there. Oh well. Thanks!
