Auto-crafter doesn't stop crafting

Great idea, terrible execution. If I wanna make one super alloy for instance, don't make enough to fill up the entire inventory!

Your workbenches still work fine. You don't have to use an autocrafter for everything.

I did find a way to stop the crafting procedure but it's really stupid, you have to select the empty box.

Based on your responses, it seems that you are new to auto-crafter. Auto-crafter is an automated machine for high tier materials. Just click the blank icon for it to stop. You can also set the supply & demand instructions of its own inventory. (Provided that you already unlocked drone station.)
Generally speaking, auto-crafter will make your gameplay easier than it has used to be in the early game where you craft manually. Which is a real hassle.
Let me add a little tip/advice. Put locker storage within the craftable area of auto-crafter w/c is 20m, to save space, place them real close to each other. T2 lockers are the best.

Oh yeah, I was lucky in that I made my locker room pretty much the perfect size for the auto-crafter. I just put it in the middle and it has access to all 11 lockers (with some room for more if need be).

You know, if you really want to centralize your autocrafting, you can put the autocrafter on a middle floor and have another whole room of lockers above it and still another below :D

Detection zone is spherical, not a flat plane.

An 'auto crafter' should auto craft until told to stop. I can't say it is a good tactic, but I do have multiple auto crafters up for different things. My first was to make Super Alloys.
