Let lockers be a supply and demand simultaneously
Are there any plans to make the chests/lockers be able to both demand and supply items? I set up a big warehouse that stores all items that are automatically created. I'd like to demand particular items in each locker, then also supply that item from that locker at a lower priority. I'm still assuming the higher the number, the lower the priority? i.e. 0 is the top priority, 5 is the lowest? I want the items to fill up in the lockers with the highest priority, then at a lower priority, send those items to the trade rocket. That way, everything goes into and comes out of the warehouse but the warehouse stays full. Am I over complicating things because of OCD or is this something others are looking for as well?

Technically you can kind of do this already by setting priority on the trade rockets for goods to a lower level than the storage locker. Produced goods will always go to the lockers first, and once those are full the excess goods are sent to the rockets. A simpler logistics system, to be certain, but it does behave as intended.

This is how I have it set up now. But it doesn't come from the storage lockers to supply the rockets. It just comes from the autobuilders. It does certainly work but isn't quite what I was hoping for.

Higher number is higher priority. There is also a -1 priority. I personally use -1 specifically for overflow situations such as the trade rockets and shredders.

I never noticed a -1 but that does provide some extra control. Thanks! I have some renumbering to do apparently. I assumed 0 was the highest priority. Whoops! I'm sure there was somewhere I could have read that, like patch notes when it first got implemented but meh.

Every time I think about buffer storage I remember we have global supply and delivery. So, this will work somewhat silly if you setup multiple storage like this. Drones will drag items from one to another potentially indefinitely.

Not the way i have it set up. I was looking to send the resources from my drills into one large warehouse, then from that warehouse, send it to the autobuilders. Like an Amazon operation or something similar. If you could set two separate levels of priority, one for incoming and one for outgoing, it should work fine. It's simply shipping logistics at that point. The system works just fine the way it is now honestly. They did a bang up job with it and I really do like the system. I was just looking for a different way of doing it is all, something a little bit closer to how shipping works in the real world.
