Many mods no longer work because the author hasn't updated them in years. akarnokd is the only one that is keeping up to date (THANKS AKARNOKD! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!). All others no longer work at all or crash the game. Any mods that haven't been updated in the last few weeks (since the Procedural Wrecks update) won't work.
Agree with wncol2004 - you're a total star 😉⭐
Correction, Better Jetpack still works. Other than all of akarnokd's mods working, this is the only non akarnokd mod I have found that works...so far.
Agreed with the positive comments about akarnokd as well!
Did you make sure that all the game folders were removed?
Often player saves, configs and such are left behind.
If any remnants associated with modloader will cause your problems to persist even with a clean install.
You can manually search these files or using a program like Revo uninstaller.
You need to uninstall the game, delete all files, reinstall the game, start the game once, quit the game, then go download the BepinEx and extract the zip file into the game directory. Run the game again, then quit the game. Now you can see the Bepinex/Config folder is created, along with the Bepinex/Plugins folder. Now you can start downloading the mod files into Plugins. Anything you put into the Plugins file will activate the next time you run the game.
I think you forgot to uninstall the game since the previous update, you should only need to do this ONCE though; future updates shouldn't need a complete uninstall/reinstall anymore.
I also think you forgot to run the game once and then quit the game after you installed the BepinEx zip files. Half of the folders and files for BepinEx will not exist until after you run the game and exit it for the first time after installing BepinEx.
