Whats up with using more O2 underwater after getting breathable air?
Consumption of O2 goes from 1.9/s underwater to over 3 as soon as the atmosphere becomes breathable. What gives?

Because you can't breath underwater? Unless you're a fish.

My breathing is 0.2 outside 1.9 underwater.

You didnt understand the question. Before the "Breatheable atmosphere" stage the oxygen consumption underwater is 1.9/s, but after reaching that stage it goes up to 3+/s

Ah right.. yeh I noticed that as well. I'm at atmosphere now and underwater I use more O2.. maybe it's a pressure/gravity thing.. use more oxygen as it's more difficult to swim?

Are you still wearing the oxygen breather after breathable air? If so, take it off and try again. I seem to think that maybe the issue, I never made it so I never wore it. I never noticed any difference. Let us know what you find....

This has been asked before and answered before, there's no change. After you hit breathable atmosphere underwater o2 consumption jumps up to 3.6 whether you have a filter or not.

Yep having the air filter on or not makes no change to the rate, having it on only tells you the rate of loss. So yeh maybe it's to compensate for breathable air.. you need to exert more underwater so you need to carry air with you in case you drown.. which is ironic considering you usually asphyxiate..well i suppose you still do really.. but i meant suffocate.. usually you suffocate.. now you can drown.

Still at least teleporters work underwater.
