Early progress too slow, need help finding more aluminum

Im in the early stages of the game and to unlock the next levels of things is extremely far off. For instance i need to hit 50 on Terraform for the next unlock but I'm at 24 and its increasing too slowly.

What I really need is more aluminum but i have picked up most of it that was on the ground MOre aluminum would help me speed things up but there doesn't seem to be anymore. I've explored as much as i currently can.

Any help would be appreciated

most of the caves have some, there's also a specific aluminium biome, big glinty grey rocks and the sky turns dusky when in the area. if you put an extractor there it will dig up aluminium alongside a random assortment of the basic resources

It's kind of everywhere. You can find it in the Iridium cave in the middle of the map, in the super alloy area ravines on the ground and on top, and then there's the aluminium area, where you can place an Ore Extractor to get tons of it too.

There will be times where it feels like you're out of a certain type of ore, but there's always a way to get unlimited amounts of it if you put in the effort.

It sometimes falls from the sky too, and there's some in the Sulphur fields too.

I looted the iridium area but the Aluminum area is unknown to me. Maybe i havent explored as much as I could. I will see if ice melted yet in some spots. Thanks

You can almost see the aluminium area from the entrance to the huge iridium cave. Climb a nearby dune of sand and look around for a place which has tall glinty things in it.

Advice: you have two priorities right now: food and making sure you don't run out of resources. For one you need a food grower. For the other you need an ore extractor. Work towards unlocking those two things. From those things, everything else follows.

ALso I had been in/seen that area before but I thought it was a cobalt area. Thats my bad

That's an easy mistake to make, there's a LOT of cobalt in that area. You can also place the Ore Extractor on the outer edges of the biodome and get Aluminium from it, so you can potentially create a base that's close to water, iridium, and aluminium if you space it out enough and build things on the extreme edges.

You can explore most of the map immediately, except for the areas behind ice. You just have to build shelters to recap your O2

When out exploring, keep 3 iron, 2 titanium, and 1 silicone on you along with water (dont even need o2) when you get low on o2, make a shelter and hop inside. You can choose to leave it up, and grab more resources for another one, or dismantle it, and continue on. I usually build multiple shelters along the way, then later on after I unlock the transporters I dismantle them. I build mini bases in the different biomes with some basic stuff, crafting station, a couple storage lockers, and food grower, ect.

I've been looking for a place to mine sulphur. Whereabouts is that?

At the back of the big iridium cave is a cave that is iced over, or at least is till a certain point, cant remember when it starts to melt, that is one path to the sulfur field. I dont remember off hand the other ways to get to it.
