Nope. The next chip(s) you find will simply act as the next in line.

Also, you should be able to find your lost stuff in a "death crate", but they don't always show up exactly where you plotzed.

There are a lot more of these chips than there are blueprints to unlock. Usually you have quite a lot left over. So there's no need to worry even if you can't find your death backpack.

^This. You'll need to a big storage cabinet to keep all the ones you find that don't have a use yet.

It's ok, there's a storage cabinet at the edge of the map! You can just go get more!

I've had a few death crates not spawn (or at least, not anywhere reachable, they might be under the map). There's plenty of spare chips, but be very careful with Pulsar Quartz, you will not likely reach the ability to craft it in the current version.

Death crates are known to fall through the textures in some cases. It's usually not a big deal, though, as nearly everything replacable. And you can always reload.

I've never been able to find it. I wonder if it'll still be there after the next update?

Honestly, It really isn't that hard to find... go to the wrecked battleship in the desert and just keep walking (skirting around outside the right hand side of the Lush Valley) till you hit the invisible wall... then just follow it round, keeping to the left. Keep an eye on your co-ords, if you start getting a negative number for the first one then you are going in the right direction.... you will come across it.

A bit complicated but it would work. Basicly it's behind the Crater biome, a more or less, straight line when coming from the standard starting area.

This was particularly helpful. All the issue was is that i had not gone out far enough. Now i'm wondering if trees grow this far out?
