Where oh were is the Uranium?
I am progressing very well and have jet-packed around hunting out caves and travelling out further to try and find Uranium. It is holding me up with game progresss as Im needing Uranium Rods to get the higher T3+ items and even the generator. Im stuck still placing the solar panels which give bugger all power when Im as far as I am. I know some wont like someone posting where as its a spoiler so please message me where I can go to get some.

It's not that difficult to have a look on Steam Library Planet Crafter homepage for a map.. there are a few and it doesn't take long to find. You can find lots of stuff there. All you have to do is scroll down the page till you reach the community contribution section.

Go past the Crater Lake (going by with lake on your right), through the Aluminum Field, towards the Ring Wreck. As you almost get to the ring Wreck, turn right instead. Uranium Cave is in a cave in a valley. If you hit the weird glowy-rock field, you've gone too far. Get some T2 ore extractors going, and you'll be swimming in uranium.

Thank you, I will head off this way, I have been to the weird glowy-rock field lol. That is immediately opposite the falling sand cave where I have my base ... I havent yet managed to unlock T2 Ore Extractors. What do I need to do to unlock that? Wait till I find a blueprint? Thanks again. Im really enjoying this and have got this far without needing to ask anything ... is the crater lake the part thats flooded?

Oh ... that would explain why I have put an Ore Extractor in the cave thats further around from the Falling sands, where I picked up lots of Super Alloy thinking Id mine that but nope, its giving me general elements. So if I put a T2 can you mine Super Alloy? ... Gotta unlock it first tho

T2 ore extractors are unlocked by simply raising your pressure to a certain point. You'll need 3 osmium, 1 super alloy rod, and 2 iridium rods. I'd suggest the first two T2 extractors be purposed in the Osmium and Super Alloy caves respectively, to gain materials for more of them. Third can be uranium, as then you'll have the supply line to build more.

Thank you

ok, I think the place your talking about for the Uranium is the small cave, with ice melting at the back, with the slanted rocks outside and a few derelect shacks? I did that ages ago and only got a few pieces from it. You need 9 to make a rod. I used a few when upgrading other geear. Im very careful with what I do use these higher level elements with since I am struggling to find them until I do get the T2 ore miner and the ice melts. Shame there wasnt just that little more uranium, this is not making it enjoyable, it was until this lack of uranium ... ok, while out exploring, going to the right of the ring wreck up higher I was able to find a uranium rod in a chest!!!! So that got me my second generator which gets me another T3 heater and T3 Drill. Half an hour later when Ive go back and am off loading my goodies, I get the T2 reactor...I struggle enough with getting the resources for the T1 lol but sill no T2 ore miner.

there's another uranium cave in the one area... go out of the "strange door" cave, and go diagonally forward and to the left. There's going to be a few pieces there.

There is a mine in the oasis area with loose uranium as well as being able to be mined with a T2 ore drill. It is in a cave are located at 1788;26.1943 Good luck!!

alternately you could go through the aluminum fields following the cliff and when you get to the wreckage (not the one in the aluminum field the one past it) turn and run to the other cliffside were you will find a narrow passage that takes you right to the valley mentioned above

Thank you everyone for the info on where I can go get more. Im off for the night now after another 8 hour play lol. Have just logged off and seen these so I will go off and see if I can find these places....wheres this strange door cave? I am starting to learn my way around what with all this uranium hunting lol While trying to find the one near the ring wreck I found the bunker which had a uranium rod in it, that got me my second generator, phew! But I still need more, I need another generator to power these ore miners! Thanks again 💜

YES! Thank you, This is the one I have just managed to find with using an online map to pin it down exactly, thanks you....note the location 1788:xx took me to the grand rift where further down there is a Iridium cave but I found no uranium. BUT, this one in the Red Desert has helped remendously. Ive now got the super generator running having used that to replace the two T1 generators since I needed x3 uranium rods. So I have some spare uranium now. My problem now is I need the T2 ore miner to be able to get more of these valuable elements. My issue now is getting the T2 ore extractor unlocked. To even do that, I need the T4 digger to increase the pressure to unlock it lol. Im only using T3 diggers and have a lousy 3uk and need a massive 364 pressure to unlock the extractor. Now, to get the T4 digger, I need that unlocked aswell OMG lol Ive googled and it says that unlocks at 41Uk...WTH is "uK" its not even in the actual pressure stats in the game its using mPa. I guess all I can do is keep placing the T3 drills until the T4 eventually unlocks.

I struggled ok, it took me a while to figure it out and to find one that had the cave locations. It took me a while to find my bearings and figure out which place was what on the map. There are a few sandy, barren, cliff regions that all looked the same initially. Thank to these two helping and finding a map with the cave locations I now have grasped it and know what is where and how to get there .. Some of us are slower than others. I am super lousy with a crappy sense of direction anyway. I can even get lost using a GPS haha
