Pulsar Quartz meteor?
Well, well...had a meteor come down near my base...just a single one, which was odd. Went out and checked, and just saw a pile of rock. Climbed all over and around it, nope, just rock. Okay, whatever...

Came back a bit later, after some of the rocks had despawned, and found...a pile of pulsar quartz (6, IIRC).

Nice little bonus, that...

I think that was just added in the latest update just now (after insects and waterfalls)
I also found a lot of pulsar quartz in the new dark meteor biome and one on top of the waterfall mountain.

Just happened again, confirming 6 PQ. I don't think people are going to have as many problems getting the stuff as they thought.

(And yep, found more where you said, too.)

Yup, just happened to me too. Found 9 Pulsar Quartz. The meteor fragments take a fair while to despawn so you can get to some of the goodies.

at the moment I am hunting for pulsar.
(I know I can craft it)
but wasn't there a cave somewhere that I could place an Extractor? for Pulsar?

I'm not aware of anywhere you can place an extractor to get PQ, and I'm sure folks are still trying.

Unless the new update added that, there is no current way to extract Pulsar Quartz. You can find it, craft it or now, apparently, get hit on the head by it.

lol seconds after reading this, I experienced the Pulsar Meteor.

Its a bit different, because you hear it coming,
but it takes a while for the Meteor to hit.
And its a single Meteor.
I recovered 9 Pulsar from it.
Although I had to wait quite a while for the meteor pieces to disappear, giving me access to hidden Pulsar.

And, fyi, you CANNOT craft Pulsar any more.
Its spot, in the Biolab craft list, is replaced by 'Fabric' and 'High Quality Food'

Yes you can, I just went and did it to verify. Works exactly the same as before. The High Quality Food is one slot to the right of it on the crafting screen.

Yes (0.5.002). and unless you're telling me that I'm hallucinating, I certainly can. Maybe you can't; check to see if the requirements for it got changed to something you no longer have.

ahhhh I fingered it out.

this is not my advanced game (1.5TTi) where everything is unlocked.
I went back to my very first game, and it is only at 75GTi so far.
Pulsar crafting doesn't unlock until 150GTi (or thereabouts).

LOL I forgot what game I was in. (I have five on the go)

Still got a ways to go in this one (I've been playing very relaxed, no rush, so its not very advanced yet)

Kind of silly really...I have a Transporter sitting in the middle of my base.
A freakin' Transporter.
And yet, I can't craft Pulsar yet. lol
