Warehouse/Material Handling Center
We need a Warehouse/Material Handling Center. I envision it to be a based on a Big Living Compartment. Inside it would have a place where you dump items in and the machine would sort and store the Items. It would then display the quantity of each item in storage. Each warehouse would have a limit of the number of items it could store, say 5000. Any Craft Stations, DNA Manipulator, Incubator, or Biolab placed in a living compartment or big living compartment connected to the warehouse would draw its materials from the warehouse. Warehouses stacked on top of each other act as one, doubling the capacity of the warehouse.

why not just ask for an AI worker to do everything for you instead ???

In my last playthrough I build a whole lot of two lockers. Hoarding stuff serves no real purpose as there is no constant demand for anything but food and water, and even that only in minuscule amounts.

I hear ya on that... I made a double stacked, double length large compartment storage area. 3 full lockers of every resource on the first level and flowers, bio resources, tree seeds and other stuff on the second level.. all that and not counting the crafting area storage lockers which I use constantly.......and guess what... lol.. I've never touched any of the contents of the double storage room since filling them.

That's the point. Once I made that mistake too, never again. It's pointless to hoard stuff you will never need again. Just go to your extractors, pick out what you need (clean out what is never needed) and never have to remember where you put what.

I'm with OP on this one, doesn't have to be as complex but there's a mod for Subnautica that allows crafting stations to access all lockers and storages that are connected to your base. It's a big QoL boost for me.

If you don't put stuff in your base, don't you spend lots of time getting the resources from their spawn areas? Not like you can dig for Uranium or Osmium next to your doorstep. It means a lot of travel time whenever you need 2-3 units of something. Not to mention rods and super alloys.

These games are all about bases and hoarding so it's something for the devs to consider.

That's what the teleporters are there for. Hoarding serves no purpose in this game.

5000 is WAY to much of a item. build something instead of hoarding
It's not Satisfactory or Factorio. Manual everything is fine, dont need ai or "conveyor systems)

No, there is no endgame. And there can not be anything post endgame because when the game ended well...

Logic aside, they are available after a short amount of /played or I did something very wrong that they appear so much sooner for me.

With the right strategy you will be there in no time. Or enjoy the ride and take it slow, everyone at his own pace.

Edit: It's not like you need them, it's just convenient.
