Labels on the side of the lockers.
Please add some small labels on the side of the lockers. It is easier to create more lockers and place them one after another, then access them from the side. But knowing what is inside is difficult and labeling them looks ugly as the labels are wider than the side of the locker.

OR

Create new narrow and deep locker (maybe with drawers) with narrow label on top. There a plenty non functional furniture in the game, so adding one more functional would not hurt.

So in other words you're placing them in a way that would make them impossible to open if it weren't a video game? Kinda weird to expect the game to accommodate that.

See if you can place signs on them. You might be able to make it work that way.

If you point at the locker it will indicate what is in it. Also, late in the game you can make signs and type in whatever you want.

I believe when OP said "labeling them" he was referring to the signs you can make.

small signs are already provided in game.
you can label a Locker on all sides if you wish.

I'm sorry...I meant that the Devs have already given you a sign/label option.
And it allows for various methods of labelling a locker.
What about on top of the locker?

On a simialr note, I have already expressed an interest in a "full" indicator.
Could the name plate light up or change colour when a locker is full.
Saves having to open it to find out.

I put signs on the side of my lockers... works great...

Yes... it is ugly... but I like function over form...

And I put them sideways... the lockers that is...

It’s slower, but you can rename them before placing the next one. That way you will see their content even from the side.

While you can see the lockers own label you really can't read the text if you place them right next to eachother... and certainly not if you place the lockers up against a wall so that the label is facing the wall...

I was referring to the fact you can see the content when you hover over the container.

You could always go old school and put some post-its on your screen. That would also mask the blatant abuse of the items in question.

SO basically you want a 2 person dev team to drop everything and make you a solution to a problem you created by not putting the lockers facing the way they're supposed to face? Gotcha.
