Uranium Location
Is there a spot for Uranium or is it just from the rocket that summons meteors? I found a sand waterfall that had a lot of super alloys but still can't find any uranium. I'm at the lake stage of the game

there is a cave in the orange desert (east of the map) with uranium in it.

I think it's the northwest now, with the map orientation change.

I even put signs on both sides, "Shortcut to..." so I know which aberration of the rock face it was...

I've gone through every northeast cave that i can find, with no sign of the uranium. can anyone provide more detailed directions?

The easiest way is to walk from the initial starting area through the aluminium biome, then keep going towards the cliffs... don't go up the hill, go just right of that and you'll see a gap in the wall. Follow the gap and you'll come out about 30 yds away from the Uranium Cave.

There's also 1 at the other side of the map, although it's a little harder to spot and I think it may be underwater later on in game, I can't recall (because I can't seem to find the entrance anymore lol).

the second uranium cave is at 1783-22-1938 and you can place a T2 mining rig there at 1 corner of that cave

Here is the best map I have found - associated with planet crafters wiki: https://planet-crafter.fandom.com/wiki/Map?file=The-Planet-Crafter_MAP_0.6_clear.jpg all the mines are indicated by the different color rock formation in a circle icon. Green for Uranium, red for Iridium etc

If you use the information rocket and GPS rocket 3, you can see where all of the caves are and what they have in them from the map screen.
We can't pan it yet, so to cover the entire map you'll need to place a screen in a few locations, but almost the entire map can be covered with 1 screen if it's dead center of all of the caves.

This should be more than enough to guide anyone to the caves without having to look things up online, finding the actual entrances for them is a little bit trickier though.

Hmm I have the plans for the GPS T1 but not for the information rocket. I think I have explored the whole planet (well except for the ancient city that I can not get to . . .). Makes me wonder how I will find the blueprint microchip for that information rocket.

NorthWEST
widener1855 Aug 7, 2024 @ 11:17pm
so.. after you deplete the "northeast" uranium cave, and before you can unlock explosives to get into the the "northwest cave", how do you get more uranium? just subsist on meteors? im at a doldrums of needing more reactors to support more bio/plant production to unlock butterfly larvae, but im running out of power.. do i have to spam solar?
