I Have a Jetpack t1 & I can figure out how to use it. Help, Please!

OMG... I never would have find out this solution... should be changed. Maybe use the cursor buttons for jetpack and the WASD for walking...but a double-klickk on space is....strange... :D

It's not exactly double-tapping either.
If you're in the air and you press space, then it activates.

So with the first space you jump up, then in the air you press space and it turns on.
Then it's on so long as you hold it.

Point your view up to climb / hover, need t3 to really make it work. Once you get t2 you can skim over cliffs to save time (and end up out of bounds for giggles.) Also, you can use stairs to create mega launch ramps that will fling you right across the maps, just make sure to flare when landing or it'll get painful.

I bind it to the right CTRL so I can tap and hold it with my pinkie finger, and use the arrows for direction of travel...works really well. Also toggle run with the End button, just over my arrow keys for efficiency.

Note you can fly higher by tapping and holding the space but you can only really fly just above the ground where ever you are. It doesn't allow you to fly up the cliffs.

Got my friend to buy the game and she can't use her jet pack at all. She just jumps and that's it. Gone through all the keys, double tapped and tried everything we can think off. Anyone got any other ideas ? how to get it to work or is it just bugged for her. Mine works fine.

sounds bugged, if you already tried double tapping then holding which is what you do. just double tapping will only jump

Question, is your friend sure that he has the jetpack equiped? Because the player doesnt start with one.

She has the T3 jet pack equipped in the equipment slots.

Well, that's the checklist.
1. Jetpack equiped.
2. jump and jump-key-hold to activate the jetpack.
Hmm... maybe...
3. Keep your cursor aimed at least slightly above the level of the ground you're flying over. If you're aiming "down", you'll bump into the ground and stop flying,

If this is not working, then yeah, I think a bug. Are you able to sit at your friend's computer and try doing it with your own hands, or is she more of an online friend?

If we've decided it's a bug, maybe use the Steam tools to verify the installed files, or even do a full reinstall if that doesn't work.

is she using a keyboard for input or controller? try resetting the controls to defaults then trying again. if not successful, try to rebind the jump key to something else for troubleshooting purposes.
