Is there faster transport than running?
I want to move 2 of my outposts somewhere else, because I'm not sure if they will be flooded or not + I want to more easily explore and grab resources, but even T4 is tiny without being able to stack stuff. I would have to make probably like 30 trips to move it all.

Only move the parts with the rarer materials. The rest, just start building onsite from materials close by. I shifted my base and found this was the quicker way to do it. Then I went back later and deconstructed the lower value base parts

The agility boots increase your movement speed, and the jetpack is faster than running once it is upgraded. There are no transport options that don't involve you hauling items around in your backpack.

There are no gatherable resources at high altitude (at least not at the spot I saw). I guess I'll just wait a few months for vehicles.

Don't get your hopes up for vehicles. The devs have said they likely won't be adding them. Unfortunately.

While the T3 Jetpack is faster than running, it's also more cumbersome because you have to hold the jump button to stay flying, as opposed to just toggling sprint on and only holding one button (the movement key/button).

looks like warp gates will be a thing down the road

Then I just won't play it until they do add better transportation, since it is too much of a chore at this point. To me this game is overhyped anyway, like for example I saw much better terraforming in Surviving Mars, and there it was just a DLC, not main component of the game.

Base building in here is so basic as well.

Tech you just are given to at some arbitrary points thresholds. No decision making.

Story worse than Subnautica or even Fallout76 before upgrades, because it barely has any.

Graphics are pretty bad, like I don't mind for example pixel graphics in games, but that horrible LOD for grass as you walk away from it by like 5 meters is jarring. If I'm to enjoy terraforming visuals, then I don't see how.

And yes, I know it is in development, that is why I mentioned that I will wait a few months to see if this got any better. In its current state it is mediocre at best.

Depends if that gate is a stargate style wormhole scaled up to fit a ship or if it's some other form of travel like a slingshot to give vessels a speed boost.
