Fertilizer Catch-22

Hey there. I just unlocked the Algae Generator, but to build it in need fertilizer. I can't create fertilizer because I need algae to do that. What do I do?

I think your looking at the Algae generator T2. The T1 generator does not need fertilizer

I was able to find fertilizer in some chests, bunkers, or wrecks. Not sure which.

You have to find it. I found one in a chest somewhere.

So the first fertilizer you get will be from chests I believe, but the biolab is where you will eventually craft things like explosive powder, fertilizer, and more complex items of the chemical variety.

That was exactly it. I got the T2 before the T1 and couldn't figure out why I couldn't build one. Thank you for all the help.

If you find enough chests you'll get a little fertilizer (about half a dozen [Fertilizer, not chests] are out there....it's probably random, but, they're out there) :-)
