Not enough microchip blueprints
I have explored the entire map and went over it with a fine tooth comb. I still dont have enough to craft the jetpack t3. I am currently at 35 Gti for reference, while some of my friends that are well under 1Gti already have all of the blueprints, plus some to spare (3-5). No idea what to do going forward considering I do not even have enough for the current gameplay, let alone for when there is more added.

Have you been looting all the small single slot blue boxes? Each of those have a chip in them. It's not just the big blue crates you find them in but the itty bitty ones too.

It is technically possible to not have enough microchips because I believe that in the prologue version microchips were not yet implemented. If you used the same save for the early access version some chests may not have the microchips.

yes i have 6 chips that I cant decode either, mainly found in wrecks or chests they are there you just have to find them. I keep finding areas I thought I had explored and find more content, like uranium and Iridium caves

Yeah, i have 8 t2 ore extractors (3 in uranium mine) and 6 t1 ore extractors. I am quite literally end game. I have explored every biome. I have went to literally the corners of the map past the boundaries. When i say that I have explored everywhere, I mean it. I have played about 3 hours since making this post, and have been essentially re-exploring and have found 0 new chests. the only new thing that I have found is 1 single zeolite that I missed.

I don't know why you guys don't seem to understand where I am at. there are no more chests on the ground for me. I have explored all of the bunkers and spaceships and gathered every single thing gatherable, as well as finding the secret rooms. I have cleared all of the caves, and have mines in over half of them. I have all 11 golden chests... Yet I still do not have enough microchips to make the t3 jetpack.

Yeah I continued my save off of the prologue. Had another friend that did as well but he still has enough chips

Sorry mate... I had all blue prints, plus an extra 5 chips at just 7Mti
course.... I went exploring, setting up outposts... before I starter terriforming.

Hate it for you. :(
There are plenty of chips out there. You must have missed something? It's possible.
Those 1 slot chests are easy to miss (which is where most chips are in)

I believe that what loot you find in the average chest scattered around is mostly random and is only decided upon opening a chest for the first time. To continue on about what I stated earlier the amount of exploration and looting you did in the prologue heavily affects it as only a few areas were added in early access. This reducing the amount of new chests to open combined with bad luck is probably what ended up happening.

If you really felt like it; it is possible to refresh certain existing chests such the one slot chip chests in wrecks by modifying your save file. If you don't want to cheat like that you are going to have to wait until new areas are added to the game.

continuing the play from the prologue can be a bit tricky regarding the chips. Yes, there's a possibilty that you won't get enough chips, especially if you opened all chests there were in the prologue before EA.
I would really recommend to start a new game.

Well, yes - it's EA after all. I was simply pointing out that if he doesn't have enough chips then he's either deleting them or just need to explore more. :)

I have explored literally every single area to the point there are no more chests on the ground, or in ships. I have went into each one at least 10 times, as well as every cave. I have spent the last 2 days (for the good part of 1-3 hours each time) literally going through everything, whether it be running the edge of the map, diving into lakes, revisiting ships, etc. There is no way that I have missed at least 5 microchips, and i just made the shredder yesterday for the first time, so it was impossible for me to destroy any of the microchips until yesterday, which i havent found any for about a week.
not all of the chips are in chests, some or sitting in the open on shelves or are in small boxes.

This.
Its why the devs said, while not mandatory, you should start a new game with EA release.
Saint_Aint 2/abr./2022 às 8:11
I have 12 extra chips.
Roan 2/abr./2022 às 8:37
6 extra here. Did you find the stairs sticking out of the ground around the map? found atleast 3 in the underground bases
Ghevd 2/abr./2022 às 9:07
You are deconstructing paths in ships right? Microchips are mostly in small one slot crates in my experience.

One ship has a bunch of things on the floor as well. Like, a rocket engine, plants, and seeds. Some of the lockers are open and have seeds in them too. I'm not sure how I missed all the stuff lying on the floor the first time in the flooded ship. Made me think it was a respawn point for more plants to send in to space.
