Yeah, i have 8 t2 ore extractors (3 in uranium mine) and 6 t1 ore extractors. I am quite literally end game. I have explored every biome. I have went to literally the corners of the map past the boundaries. When i say that I have explored everywhere, I mean it. I have played about 3 hours since making this post, and have been essentially re-exploring and have found 0 new chests. the only new thing that I have found is 1 single zeolite that I missed.
I don't know why you guys don't seem to understand where I am at. there are no more chests on the ground for me. I have explored all of the bunkers and spaceships and gathered every single thing gatherable, as well as finding the secret rooms. I have cleared all of the caves, and have mines in over half of them. I have all 11 golden chests... Yet I still do not have enough microchips to make the t3 jetpack.
Yeah I continued my save off of the prologue. Had another friend that did as well but he still has enough chips
course.... I went exploring, setting up outposts... before I starter terriforming.
Hate it for you. :(
There are plenty of chips out there. You must have missed something? It's possible.
Those 1 slot chests are easy to miss (which is where most chips are in)
I believe that what loot you find in the average chest scattered around is mostly random and is only decided upon opening a chest for the first time. To continue on about what I stated earlier the amount of exploration and looting you did in the prologue heavily affects it as only a few areas were added in early access. This reducing the amount of new chests to open combined with bad luck is probably what ended up happening.
If you really felt like it; it is possible to refresh certain existing chests such the one slot chip chests in wrecks by modifying your save file. If you don't want to cheat like that you are going to have to wait until new areas are added to the game.
I would really recommend to start a new game.
Its why the devs said, while not mandatory, you should start a new game with EA release.
One ship has a bunch of things on the floor as well. Like, a rocket engine, plants, and seeds. Some of the lockers are open and have seeds in them too. I'm not sure how I missed all the stuff lying on the floor the first time in the flooded ship. Made me think it was a respawn point for more plants to send in to space.
