Looks like they ripped off alot of stuff from Subnautica.
Or they got permission to use it.

that is a stretch but provide examples with pictures or go troll somewhere else.

There's some similarities in basic mechanics and overall feel, but I don't see any art that look like the assets from Subnautica, or anything else that suggests they "ripped off" any of that games' material. Just taking inspiration from an existing work isn't "ripping it off".

Going to give some examples or just make baseless accusations?

no need for examples. i'm just pointing out that when i first saw this game I really really thought it was the same developers as Subnautica. You probably never played Subnautica so you do not see it. It just feels weak that they could not create their own UI. Even the buildings looks the same. Does not mean that i will never buy it. If the game is good I'm all in. Il just wait for the full release and check it out again.

Only thing special about subnautica is it actually had a story that ended.

The UI, the minerals, and so forth are all from FREE/cheap unity assets used in a million games. They didn't rip anything off from Subnautica, Subnautica used them for the same reason so many Indy games do, they were FREE/cheap.
So I guess you should go post in the Subnautica forms that it is just weak the Subnautica Devs could not create their own UI and their buildings were all based on free/cheap assets off the Unity store....
Or you could educate yourself on the subject.

I haven't seen any fish... how is this game like subnautica again?

What exactly did they rip off from Subnautica? The square shaped building? It's not like Subnautica invented those. Both Subnautica and this game have pretty standard crafting and survival elements and the modular building isn't anything new either. All the assets from what I could tell were created by the devs themself. They don't seem to be part of any asset pack and they are also different from Subnautica. And yes a square shaped futuristic small room is going to look similar in a lot of games. No Mans Sky the standard metal square box looks similar. It's just a basic design and all of these games use it.

Pretty sure you are wrong. Subnautica devs have created their own assets. That's why various items etc. all had placeholder boxes in the early alpha stages. Also the UI was completely overhauled and replaced during alpha development. They didn't get any of the assets from an asset pack. All self designed. Same as the assets from Planet Crafter from what I can see. Unless you can point me to any game that uses the same assets.

oh no the building have rounded edges and there is water must be a rip off, TO THE COURTS
Korgoth Mar 30, 2022 @ 6:58pm
A game using free Unity assets that another game uses isn't ripping them off. Your ignorance is showing.

He has a point, I built my base down in the starting valley and it eventually ended up underwater. Basically the exact same game, 100%.
