You can test this by noting your pressure, deconstructing a drill, noting it again. Reconstruct the drill, see that it goes back up. You can then launch a pressure rocket, and repeat. It will always snap right back to where you would want it.

Rockets do provide a 1000% increase to base numbers of producers.
With 3 rockets of each type you get base number of all producers +3000% for each of the 4 stats.
So next rocket will give +4000% of base value, then +5000% and so on.
Some say diminishing results at 5 rockets of each types, but then you got to really boost your base production.
Check out the guide in my post just before your in this thread, it's really helpful.
Yeah I've just entered the Insects phase and am pondering if I wanna bother grinding away to unlock the last few things. I find it fun to watch the world gradually change through each phase as well as gradually unlocking new equipment and machines and if I do the grind now then I might instantly complete the world changes from the insect and later phases instantly once they add the content. Unless the new update ends up requiring a restart in which case the grind is kind of waste too. I think I'm gonna save the rest till after the next update. :)
And yes, miners that throw away junk would be nice. Tier 3 maybe? Please?
Or some compactor container that can hold SO MUCH more than the usual locker storage.
You broadly want 10 of each rocket, 10 algae II, 10 Heater IV, 10 Drill IV, 10 Flower Grower II, 20 Trees (of best type). Once you've built all of that then go out and explore (golden chests, secrets etc.) or build a pretty base while the numbers tick up. Upgrade your tree spreaders as soon as you get the lvl II & III versions.
Erhm no.... :D I don't want Minecraft! Or Satisfactory or No Man's Sky or whatever other game including Subnautica that people keep comparing to and saying that this game needs this or that feature, because it's in those other games. If I wanted to play those other games, I would go play them. I own and have enjoyed them all, but when I start up Planet Crafter that's what I wanna play. I'm looking forward to seeing what these devs will do differently instead of wishing the game will turn into other games that I've already played.
I actually also prefer the map they have designed now instead of a procedural endless one like in Minecraft or No Man's Sky - I've had much more fun exploring in both this and Satisfactory as well as Subnautica than in either of the others. Procedural usually ends up meaning just more of the same after a certain point. Also in a hand-crafted map like this one devs usually tend to put much more care and attention into the details which results in prettier and much more cool things to discover than you ever really find in procedurally generated maps. I'd rather have a limited but awesome time exploring rather than an endless but subpar experience. Every game doesn't have to offer hundreds or thousands of hours of replayability. :D
And fortunately the devs have stated they'll stay focused on single player at least until after full release - just the way I like it. Gives them more time to dedicate to adding to and improving the already great experience this game is. <3
where is my save file? also thank you so much for this link, this map is awesome. Other maps are kind of funky, like the TechR map.
To be clear, the most "efficient" use of rockets is to always have rockets = # of producers of each resource because they function as a multiplier of each other, i.e. if you have 10 T3 Tree spreaders, it is optimal to have 10 Seed Spreader Rockets (for max oxygen rate, 10x10). Making significantly more of either rockets or producers will have diminishing returns. (i.e. 20 T3 Trees x 10 Seed rockets is less oxygen than 15 T3 Trees x 15 Seed Rockets)
Great map, do you know if its still accurate? I noticed it doesnt have mushroom seeds in the key that i can see... those are what i am currently looking for? Or am I missing it? I know this is an old post.. was wondering if the key is still accurate for the game?
Considering every number is worth the same towards Ti, I decided to farm the resource that I lack the most in terms of unlocking things, and that resource was plants.
- Heat quickly unlocks everything and becomes useless
- Last pressure unlock is too grindy to keep stacking T4 drills
- Biomass will get you T5 drills
- Plants will get you massive insect unlocks, and gives more biomass than insects at this point at least
- Some plant buildings (tree spreaders) will boost your oxygen through the roof, and beehives are crazy good for plant+insect
Plant is the answer for me. I launched ten rockets with all the rocket engines I kept finding in chests, and away I built.
