I think the starting chest should include a single food seed and the food grower unlocked a little sooner. It might be wasted for people who go exploring/looting early and get a bunch of space food, but for those that want to mess around building a base before exploring, they need something to help get them by.
once you have food grower plant beans it gives 60% by the time you down 50/60% they have already regrown plant 2 if you want but you really don't need to
if they make o2 water and food any easier they might aswell just remove the whole system IMHO
But if you really in a pinch and don't mind cheesing it just save and reload food/water back to 100% o2 25% or if not on hardcore just die you drop a few items that you can re pick up anyways theres no real death plenty
Because I'm playing this game for the very first time and I know nothing about it. Telling me "just plant beans in a food grower" when I only just unlocked the food grower recipe and have only found squash seeds is not helpful information.
Not everybody is a veteran like you who can master games in the first ten minutes.
i rarely use this exploit because generally there is plenty of space food to get by until you unlock the food grower if you start cranking out O2 immediately, but the exploit works if you need it.
Yeah, seems like a bug to me. I don't like it being there, myself. I did find more food, btw. The issue, I think, isn't there not being enough food scattered but more a case of first-time players not being able to locate it quickly enough. Food and especially thirst drain pretty fast.
i'm not a veteran just use some common sense "barren wasteland?" better go looting for food and work on a way to get more... same as it is in every survival game first things you should work on is food/water base building is secondary
Edit: though the dev should add a note to the "to-do" list the puts up saying something along the lines of "search for food in nearby wrecks" (assuming it doesn't say something like that already)
